How it works:

  1. The process starts when a Request for Authorization (RFA) is submitted to the Claims Administrator, and treatment is denied

  2. You or the injured worker can file a request for IMR, which then goes to the DWC. At this point, you can place their order for records through Gemini.

  3. Once a Notice of Assignment (NOA) is provided, it signifies the Maximus has assigned the dispute for review. Once the NOA is received, both parties have 15 days to submit the necessary medical records.

  4. After Gemini has obtained both the requested records, and the NOA, Gemini will automatically upload records to Maximus. No extra steps are needed from you. 

  5. When the IMR process is complete, Maximus will directly notify you or the injured worker of the decision.
